It is late summertime and fall is around the corner. Now is the time to start thinking about your fall lawn and garden supply and horticulture tools.

First thing you must do is an inventory of your current lawn and garden tools to see what you will need for your fall cleaning projects. Spend some time in your garage or shed where you are storing these tools. What is the condition of your Leaf Rakes, Garden Rakes, Shovels, Pitch Forks, and Spades? Will they need to be repaired or will you need to substitute them? How are the handles and edges?  Will they hold up to another season?

Now that you have taken inventory, you may realize that you need to replace some of these garden tools. Don’t be hasty and rush out and buy “any” new gardening tool.  Look at what you have to replace and ask yourself a couple of questions. How long did these tool last? What was the quality of these tools?  Did you even like them or use them properly? Will you need more than one?

Quality garden tools may cost a little more but the great thing is if you take care of them and store them indoors, they should last you a lifetime. So when you go shopping to replace your Leaf Rake, Garden Rake, Pitch Forks, Shovels and Spades, there are a couple of things you should look for. Where are they made and what are the quality of the product and the reputation of company producing them. There is several companies right here in America who produces high quality gardening tools at a fair price.  So go search them out on the Internet and have one delivered to your fort door.

Another fall project you may consider is composting. Stop taking your leaves and yard squander to the curb. They can be turn into valuable nutrients for your lawn and garden next spring. Composting bins our very inexpensive and easy to use. You can recover the cost of most composting bins in a few years with the savings on plant food and mulch. Plus, composting is good for the environment and adds less yard waste and trash to your local landfills.

So in conclusion, you may need to replace some gardening tools and buy a composting bin. But working outdoors and being environmentally friendly will add to the satisfaction of creating a beautiful lawn and garden you can enjoy for years to come.
