Summer is the time for  BBQ parties , pool parties and family get together . Due to the intense heat during this time of the year, families gather in their backyard to relax and savor the moments that only summer can bring. So for a start you have to prepare your Singapore property home in anticipation of these summer activities. Here are some helpful guides on how to plan your backyard design.

Space

The very first step is to determine how much space you have and how will you use all that  space for. Do you need it as a play area for the children?

Do you need an entertainment area for entertaining your guests and family? Do you want to make a beautiful garden and show it off to visitors during their visits. Well, maybe you want all thoses things I have mentioned.

Start To Plan Your Backyard Design

Now that you know what you want for your  backyard , draw up a design on a  graph paper. Use a tape measure so you will  really know  how much space there is to work with.

Be sure you take note of the direction of things so you know what parts of your backyard are either in the shade or exposed to the sun. The purpose of this is so that you will know which part of your backyard your garden will be located and the part that is not exposed to the sun will be allotted as  the play area for the kids.

Make Your Space Functional

Consider all  things like clotheslines, water tanks, swimming pool, grill, bins, etc. You have to consider the extent of your budget. Decide on  what you can spend and make sure you don’t go over it.

Plants and Trees

You should always  consider  putting in some green. Even if your whole backyard is concrete you can still get potted plants and trees to surround your backyard. Know the kind of soil you  you have and the type of  climate you live in.

Choose the plants and trees that look good  your backyard . If you’re undecided, visit your local greenhouse and they will be glad to assist you in finding out what types of trees or plants are best for your area.

Make It All Your Own

Don’t follow your friend or family think you should do. It’s your backyard so make it the way you want it to be. Design the place in accordance to the needs of your family.  A place  that would make you and your family wants to spend more time to relax and be with each other.
